Research Services
Waste Watch has conducted research on behalf of government and businesses, including several large blue chip companies.
Our research services include:
- attitudinal and participation monitoring
- desk-based best practice studies
- qualitative research including surveys, depth interviews and focus groups
- stakeholder research.
Waste Watch research has informed national policy and advanced sustainable waste and resource management in the UK.
In 1999 we commissioned the first UK-wide survey of public attitudes to waste which shaped the development of future national and local awareness campaigns.
Since then, we've worked on a variety of high-profile research projects focused on pro-environmental behaviour change, including studies on:
- community-based behaviour change initiatives;
- waste prevention initiatives;
- recycling and food waste schemes; and
- communication approaches for different audiences.
We’ve also undertaken some important commissions to identify solutions around dealing with problematic waste streams, such as aerosol cans and other packaging materials.
