Peer learning and pupil leadership
Sustainability is a social process that requires a social approach to learning.
That’s why we provide opportunities for pupils to demonstrate their knowledge and skills by sharing them with other pupils.
Our approach
Our programmes encourage peer learning – a teaching method that develops pupils’ knowledge, skills and values, empowering them to engage others in a range of activities that contribute to sustainability.
Our work
We are currently working with secondary schools and their feeder primary schools as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s ‘Big Tidy Up’ initiative.
We’re helping build pupils design and deliver campaigns and action projects aimed at tackling litter, cleaning up natural habitats and encouraging other pro-environmental behaviours.
