Waste Watch is looking for a Sustainability Action Team Intern to join its Community Engagement team.
The Sustainability Action Team (SAT) is a staff engagement programme managed by Waste Watch within the three hospitals that form the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust: St. Mary’s, Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals. The SAT aims to encourage sustainable behaviour throughout the Trust amongst staff, visitors and patients. The SAT is overseen by a full-time Coordinator, based within St. Mary’s Hospital.
The programme has been successfully piloted at a small hospital within the St. Mary’s Hospital site and will shortly be expanded into Hammersmith Hospital. The successful SAT Intern will assist the SAT Coordinator with this expansion by developing contacts, helping to recruit Sustainability Champions, and ensuring the programme and savings are maintained by regular contact with team members and through carrying out regular out of hours energy checks.
The post will be for two days a week, is fixed-term until 30 July 2011, and will be based at Hammersmith Hospital, London W12.
