Waste Watch Annual Conference 2012
Keynote speaker just announced: Jenny Jones, Green Party Candidate for London Mayor 2012
Current responses to global challenges like overconsumption, climate change, global poverty and well-being appear inadequate.
This conference will bring together individuals and organisations to illustrate why we need a new integrated approach to achieve a deeper social change for sustainability.
What will the conference achieve?
We are inviting you to join us to help answer pressing questions such as:
- If approaches such as nudges, voluntary deals or giving to charity only appear to be making small progress, is something more profound required?
- How could an approach based on values and citizenship create a collective movement and demand for change?
- What can civil society do collectively to bring well-being, equality and the environment from the sidelines to the forefront of our own and governmental objectives?
We will present and debate inspiring examples of both research and practitioners at the forefront of the movement to create long-term changes in collective societal values, behaviours and lifestyles.
