Building an evidence base
A distinctive feature of our approach is that we are working to build our evidence for change through direct engagement with the individuals and organisations who will be responsible for changing the way they think and act in the places where they live, learn, work and recreate.
Waste Watch has a special responsibility in learning what works and making this knowledge available to participating individuals, communities, organisations, businesses and policy makers.
Therefore, Waste Watch is putting in place a robust system of monitoring and evaluation ourselves and alongside partners that reflects our participatory approach and generates and disseminates this knowledge.
Most importantly Waste Watch will be monitoring the impact from our programmes on reducing environmental harm whilst improving our individual and collective well-being. Furthermore, we will also be monitoring our Next Practice approach to examine how it can be used most effectively to enable people to learn for sustainability.
