Animator Internship

Central London

Waste Watch has an internship position for an experienced animator. You will be producing a short animation which explains in a fun and engaging way, Waste Watch’s ethos of ‘live more and waste less’.
Waste Watch (Part of Keep Britain Tidy) works to change the way that people live and the way that we produce, buy, use and dispose of things. We want to transform the way we live so that we – and future generations – can enjoy life without costing the earth. We do this by working with community groups, businesses, schools and other not-for-profit organisations.
You will be briefed and directed by the Lead Designer (also an experienced animator), who will ensure that the project criteria are being met, that you are managing work efficiently and meeting deadlines. Primary creative control of the project will be over to you. This short-term position will provide you with excellent experience of working within a communications team for a non-profit, charitable organisation. You will also get an insight into marketing and PR activities.
We’re looking for:
A highly engaged, creative individual who has solid experience in animation.
Experience of, or interest in working on social and environmental issues would be a distinct advantage. An understanding of sustainability is desirable.
Must be able to provide own laptop and animation software.

Ability to work on-time to a brief.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well organised, able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
