Community Recycling Champions (Voluntary)

Did you know that 60% of rubbish can actually be recycled?
Would you like to help your community recycle more?
You can help raise awareness in your local area by becoming a Community Recycling Champion!
We need volunteers to help staff our road shows at community fairs and events. The road shows are fun and interactive and feature lots of activities and games to encourage East London residents to recycle.
You don't need any volunteering experience or recycling knowledge to become a Community Recycling Champion. You just need to believe that recycling is important, be friendly and approachable, and be willing to encourage others in your local area, and be able to commit to volunteering at least once a month.
We would like volunteers from the East London area who area resident in one of the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Newham and Redbridge. Residents who can speak additional languages or who are part of an ethnic minority will be very helpful to the campaign.
The Recycle for your Community team will provide training, support and information to all our volunteers. Being a volunteer will give you an opportunity to be part of a network of like-minded people who want to make a difference in their community. Volunteering is a great way to make friends and gain valuable experience.
Please note that this position is a voluntary. Travel expenses and lunch (up to a certain amount) will be reimbursed.
