Waste Watch becomes CIWM accredited
11 July 2008
Waste Watch has been certified to run the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management accredited one-day Waste Awareness course and the first one takes place on 17 September.
It will be held at the in-house training facilities at our central London office, which means we are able to offer the course at the competitive price of just £140 per delegate.
The course ensures anyone with responsibility for waste and recycling gains a better understanding of the issues around waste management, and how to tackle them effectively.
It is designed to benefit a range of participants, from local authority staff to shop floor workers, facilities managers, office staff, cleaners, contractors, warehouse operatives and students.
The course covers: the different types of waste; legal responsibilities around dealing with waste; how to reduce, reuse and recycle; how to identify cost savings; and how to choose the best disposal routes for waste.
Gaining this certificate enables organisations to reduce their waste, maximise recycling and comply with legal obligations.
Kent Love, Senior Training Services Executive at CIWM said, "We are delighted to have Waste Watch on board to deliver this popular course."
To book your place visit the Training section on our website or contact Nicholas Hannon on 020 7549 0343 for further information about this course.
