Gordon le Rotter, the eccentric travelling chef, cooks up pots of ideas to 'Love Food, Hate Waste'. A lively and interactive performance that uses staged locations and props to convey important messages about the food we buy and the 3Rs.
- Reduce - looks at shopping responsibly to avoid food and packaging waste. This is done in a supermarket setting.
- Reuse/use - explores the energy and water footprint of food, how to prevent wasting food you've already bought and how to creatively reuse leftovers, in the kitchen.
- Recycle - demonstrates how to compost food waste using compost bins and how to use local food waste collection schemes. This is staged in the garden.
