Take Home Action on Waste (THAW)
Duration: 1 day
Fees: £250 + VAT
Aim:
You will learn how this school recycling programme reduced household waste by encouraging pupils to take the waste reduction message home.
Suitable for:
Waste educators who have completed our Schools Waste Action Club training and who have experience or an interest in delivering school programmes.
What you will learn:
- how to run a range of school activities, addressing waste at school and at home; and
- how to monitor and evaluate your success.
Content:
The day covers:
- case studies from previous THAW projects;
- delivering motivating pupil and parent assemblies;
- how to monitor pupil awareness;
- how to monitor tonnages; and
- running reduce, reuse and recycle activities.
