Aim
To provide an introduction to the basic education, communications and outreach skills needed to promote recycling.
Suitable for
This course is ideal for those new to the recycling sector or those looking to brush up on their basic engagement techniques.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- conduct an engaging school visit;
- produce effective communications for your audience;
- run effective stalls and community events; and
- understand how to engage different audiences.
Contents
This one day course is a highly practical introduction to the fundamentals of behaviour change communications.
The day will cover:
- approaching schools and engaging children of different ages;
- creating assemblies with impact and dynamic class activities;
- knowing your audience, writing clearly and the art of good design;
- creating and planning inviting roadshow displays; and
- avoiding common pitfalls when dealing with difficult customers.
