Waste Works Education Officer

Education Officer - Manchester
17.5 hours per week
£21,699 pro rata
Waste Watch is offering an exciting opportunity to work closely with The Co-operative Group – a key Waste Watch supporter and Britain’s most ethical brand!
A dynamic individual is required to deliver education and community programmes and offer administrative support to Waste Works – The Co-operative’s new and exciting education facility at their head-office’s recycling centre. Waste Works was opened in September 2007 and has already built a fantastic reputation in offering school children and community groups the chance to learn about the environment and see recycling in action.
We are looking for an excellent communicator with experience of delivering existing and new education programmes to young people and members of the local community. Organised and confident, you will also assist with the administrative aspects of the centre, including the recruitment of and liaison with schools and other visiting groups. Ideally working days would be Wednesday to Friday.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to operate in a unique and inspirational facility designed to high environmental specifications.
