Programmes
Waste Watch offers fun, hands-on, quality learning experiences through our schools, community and workplace programmes.
Our schools programmes are linked to the National Curriculum and designed to help pupils and staff quantifiably reduce their environmental impact at school and at home.
- School visits - our qualified education staff offer a range of day packages for small group or whole-school activities. Read more
- Sustainable Schools - supports staff to implement the National Framework for Sustainable Schools and encourages staff and pupils to turn their school into a model of sustainability in the community.
- Recycler - our ever-popular interactive robot teaches primary school pupils how to reduce, reuse and recycle, but can be used to deliver other environmental messages. Read more
- Bespoke programmes - if you have a particular environmental message you'd like to communicate, we can develop a programme to suit your needs.
Our community programmes aim to benefit communities socially, economically and environmentally. We work with residents, students, parents and people from various voluntary, community, ethnic and cultural groups, to deliver:
- one-day events and stands;
- presentations, training and workshops;
- volunteer schemes and action clubs;
- team-building and consultation exercises;
- environmental initiatives and campaigns; and
- longer-term engagement projects.
We run similar activities as part of our workplace programmes, but focus on raising awareness amongst staff about what they can do to reduce their environmental impact at work. See our training and environmental auditing pages.
